Emergency services, airline and prison staff will all benefit from a motivational workshop to be held 26 and 27 April at the Treasure Island Resort. Commenting on the workshop, Manager for 911 Emergency Communications, Juliette Gooding says: “This is something we aim to do annually in the form of a workshop or retreat. It’s difficult to work in a stressful environment without it affecting staff in one way or another. They become tired, and need a boost.” Reverend Haynesley Griffith from Barbados, is the speaker for the conference. “He’s very well known throughout the Caribbean, United States and Canada for his family life training, counseling, workshops and seminars,” notes Ms. Gooding. Rev. Griffith is the founder and chief executive officer of the Barbados-based Family Heartbeat Ministries, a ministry that seeks to empower families to fulfill their God-given role in the home and in wider society. He has worked as a counselor, administrator, teacher, facilitator, pastor, communicator, motivational and conference speaker for over two decades. Currently Reverend Griffith manages the Family Heartbeat Ministries Counseling Centre and is the producer and presenter of a very popular weekly radio program that airs on 11 radio stations throughout the Caribbean, via the Caribbean Gospel Network. “We’re certainly looking forward to Rev. Griffith working with our staff. I’m confident that everyone will get a lot out of his presentations and be rejuvenated for the year ahead,” notes Ms. Gooding. She adds that she is pleased that American Airlines is sponsoring Rev. Griffith’s flight and that the Hyatt and Comfort Suites are providing his accommodation.
